Portable Zimbra Desktop Windows

Zimbra Desktop has hardcoded values of where the data store is in a few configuration files, you would need to some how reference relative paths in the configuration settings. Under Windows, you would need to recreate the service it registers before running it - this of course will not work on any locked down system, since those areas in the. Zimbra Desktop is an intuitive Windows application built specifically for helping you manage multiple email accounts from a single interface. It also comes in handy for all users who need to.
feel free to file an RFE, however there are multiple hurddles to overcome to do this. If you unplug the memory stick in the middle of using the software, the data can become inconsistent and no longer usable. Which email client can do this today?
Hi I agree, there is a risk of data damage if the user just remove the memory stick. But this risk already exists anyway and the users knows about it. I think this is a minor issue, if compared to the benefits of a portable edition.

Haha yeah, I just couldn't pass up the irony;) There is actually a plugin for Thunderbird to sync contacts with Zimbra. You could install that with your portable Thunderbird. Doesn't really help with calendars, etc. I would agree that a portable version of Zimbra Desktop would be nice, but I'd hate to have my email on a flash drive only to get stolen.

Which leads me to another question: Is it possible to password-protect Zimbra Desktop? I know you could put it on an encrypted filesystem, but the ability to secure the data at rest would be nice to go hand-in-hand with the portable offline client.
application level data encryption has been requested, but will not be in 1.0.
Hi, Personally, I would prefer a Zimbra Desktop client with focus on it's main function. I think it's a better approach to focus on the software's true mission, without bloating it with functions that could be well provided by some partners.

For example: my pendrive has a 3Gb TrueCrypt volume where I keep all those information-sensitive portable apps like FTP Clients with some saved passwords, my personal documents, my Thunderbird Portable with off-line/downloaded messages and so on. Cara update windows 7 ultimate sp1 ke sp2607x10 2. If I needed to rely on individual security methods provided by every software, I would have to remember many different passwords, or trust that all those different security methods are good enough to protect the same shared password. This way, for my security and encryption needs I prefer to trust in TrueCrypt and/or GnuPG, and not the native security functions that are secondary functions on the many softwares I use.
